Check out how cute these are!!!

Bakerella is a genius. I wish I had cute ideas like that. Definately want to make these for Thanksgiving, if not sooner.

Must admit, I was hoping these would come out better. I don’t think I used the right chocolate, it’s too overpowering. And I wish they looked more uniform, but hey I’m my own worst critic. And I’m the type that will make them until I am satisfied, so expect different versions of these in the future.

Red Velvet cake balls

Did I mention these are for my fabulous friend Therese? I hope she likes them!!

I hope this doesn’t ruin the surprise, but I couldn’t wait to post it.

Happy Birthday Therese, love ya darling!

I was just online looking for tips for my cake ball try round two and found this: Cupcake Bites

Check them out, they are adorable. I wish I had thought of that before because it looks so cute!!! Might be trying that for Christmas as a “Too poor to buy an actual present so here’s a homemade one” kind of present. (Also more like an “This gives me an excuse to bake” present)

Stay tuned for my adventures in cake ball dipping later. Fingers crossed it works this time!

my parents know about this little challenge of mine, so i’m really not sure why it comes as such a surprise when im back at the baking. “what are you baking again?” YES. im baking AGAIN. please stop asking me about this, you don’t seem to mind when what i’m baking is in your tummy. geez!

anyways, i’m in the process of making my third treat and it’s going horribly wrong right now. i need tips on melting/dipping things in chocolate. i started dipping my cake balls in white chocolate and it was just awful. i had to stop. i’m not sure if it’s the cake balls or the white chocolate but it was throughly frustrating.

help!!!

Just found out the culinary school I would like to go to is having an open house in October…yay! Had to share, I’m excited. See ya later desk job. Hello long hours, crummy pay, but an infintely happier me. I don’t think I’m cut out for working under sometime the rest of my life. Here’s to entrepreneurship!

I’ve been thinking for quite some time about going to culinary school for baking and pastry arts. I’ve always wanted to open up my own coffee shop/bakery. I’m looking at the Institute for Culinary Education, has anyone ever been or know someone who went? Of course I ask everyone about it and read a lot online, but I can’t get enough. I’ve been thinking about it a lot today and am a little bored so my mind is wandering.

Thoughts?

Either way, I’m going. I just like hearing stories.

Another one, I’m on a roll! This time it was chocolate chip cookies for my uncle’s birthday, and I must say this is my best try yet. *pat myself on the back* Usually I use the premade dough, but it’s so much more rewarding to make my own dough.

I used this Hershey’s recipe for the cookies with chocolate chunks.

(I like chocolate chunk cookies so much better than ones with just chocolate chips.)

Now lets hope I can sneak them into the baseball game!
